Why Use a Dosing Funnel for Eureka Grinders?

Quick answer

A dosing funnel for your Eureka grinder eliminates scattered coffee grounds and ensures every gram lands in your portafilter, saving you time and cleanup.

Diagnosis: Is a dosing funnel right for you?

• Symptom: Coffee grounds scatter on your work surface every time you grind into a portafilter or dosing cup.
• Likely cause: Static electricity and the grinder's chute design cause fine particles to fly out of the portafilter during grinding.
• Corrective action: Place a dosing funnel like the KM Mahlguttrichter on your portafilter before grinding. It contains the grounds and channels them into the basket. After using the funnel, check if your workflow feels cleaner and if you waste less coffee.
• When to stop or choose another option: If you already grind into a dosing cup and transfer without mess, a funnel may not add value. Also, if your grinder has a different brand or portafilter size, check compatibility before buying. Measure your portafilter diameter and confirm it matches the funnel's fit before purchase.
